2008-2009 FINANCIAL POLICIES |

REGISTRATION AND TUITION:
|
| Tuition may be paid in advance or in ten equal payments from August through May. A 5% discount will be |
| given for tuition that is prepaid at the beginning of the school year. A 3% discount will be given for tuition |
| that is prepaid at the beginning of each semester. Payments must be made by August 20 and January 20 in |
| order to receive the discount. Monthly accounts are paid automatically through FACTS and will be due on the |
| 20th of each month. A financial agreement is to be filled out with the accounting office at the time of |
| registration. |

| Miscellaneous charges, such as early morning care, after school care, music lessons, and Spanish classes |
| will be invoiced and added to your account. These charges are due the month after the charge incurred. |
| Statements will be mailed by the 10th of the month and are due on the 20th of that month. Miscellaneous |
| fees will be added to the FACTS monthly payment and withdrawn from your account. |

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP:
|
| Church membership of parents or legal guardians will determine the tuition rate for students. |

| The following 12 Seventh-day Adventist churches are constituent churches of JNA: Beltsville Maranatha |
| Spanish, Capital Spanish, Emanuel Spanish, Hyattsville, Hyattsville Spanish, Metropolitan Spanish, |
| Mt. Rainier Spanish, Silver Spring Spanish, Southern Asian, Takoma Park, Wheaton, and Wheaton Spanish. |

| The following Seventh-day Adventist churches also receive constituent rates: |
| Beltsville, Burnt Mills, Capital Brazilian, Sligo, and Washington Spanish. |
|
BUS SERVICE:
|
| Rates are based on five zones that determine the distance to and from the school. |
| Bus fees are invoiced in nine equal monthly payments that begin in September. A service fee of $5.00 |
| will be charged for changes in bus reservations for reasons other than change of address. |
| |
| Group pickup points (Wheaton Church, Seabrook Church, Hyattsville Church, and the General |
| Conference) are 1/2 price and are noted on the front of this form. Takoma Academy is no charge. |

OVERDUE ACCOUNTS:
|
| A late fee of $30.00 will apply to all tuition payments that are not posted on the day that they are due to |
| FACTS. Students may be asked to temporarily withdraw from school if 2 tuition payments are missed. |
| |
| Bus service and/or music lessons may be temporarily suspended if all invoices are not paid. |
| Finance charges of 1.25% may accrue each month on unpaid balances. |
| |
| Eighth grade students may not be permitted to graduate or take part in activities at the end of the |
| school year if tuition and/or invoices are past due. Payments on eighth grade student's accounts |
| must be made in full by May 20, 2009. |

RELEASE OF RECORDS:
|
| Student's semester grades, final grades, school records and/or transcripts may be held until |
| tuition and all invoices have been paid in full. |
|
REFUNDS:
|
| A refund of the registration fee will be issued if a student is not accepted. New students will be refunded |
| the registration fee less the testing fee of $60.00. The registration fee is not refundable should a student |
| withdraw from the school. A refund of 50% will be given for one month's tuition that has been paid when |
| a student withdraws from school within the first two weeks of a month. Full tuition is charged after two |
| weeks of school in a month. |

RETURNED CHECKS:
|
| A service fee of $30.00 will be charged for each check returned by the bank. |
|
LIBRARY MATERIALS:
|
| A service fee of $5.00 per item in addition to the actual replacement cost will be charged for each lost or |
| damaged item. |
